I'm Christopher, and I film weddings.
On my own, from the first email to the finished film. I've been behind the camera at weddings since 2015, first in Germany, and since 2019 here in Norway.

From Germany to Norway
I'm German, and I started filming weddings in Germany in 2015. My wife is Norwegian, though we met in England, while I was studying film and photography in Southampton. Today we live in Oslo with our two kids, I speak fluent Norwegian, and I film weddings all over the country. Every now and then I still fly back to Germany to film a wedding there.
That gives me a slightly unusual vantage point: I know Norwegian wedding traditions from the inside, through my own family. And I still see them with the eyes of someone who chose this country. That combination is what ends up in the films.
From agency to one person
For a few years, Nordic Weddings was a team. I had several videographers working with me, took on more weddings, and spent more and more of my time running the business instead of filming. It taught me exactly what I didn't want: couples booking a name, then meeting a stranger on the day itself.
So I brought it back down to one person. Me. The name Nordic Weddings Films lives on, but it isn't an agency anymore. It's me.
How I work
My style sits on the documentary side: discreet filming, very little directing, and no staged scenes that don't feel like you. What I care about most is the sound of the room and the moments nobody planned.
On the day, I arrive well before the ceremony, stay out of the way during dinner, and I usually stay until the first dance. I never try to be the centre of attention, the day is yours, not the camera's.
Direct, the whole way
- No switch on the day. The person you've been talking to is the person standing there when you get married.
- One inbox, one phone number. Everything goes straight to me, no studio inbox, no coordinator in between.
- The same person edits the film. Nothing gets handed off to an editing team. I choose every single frame myself.
The short version
- Wedding videographer since 2015, Germany and Norway.
- Based in Oslo, in Norway since 2019.
- Fluent in Norwegian, English and German.
- I take on a limited number of weddings a year, so each one gets my full attention.
“Chris is a nice guy to be around while he is filming. He made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was always good for a laugh.”
